Week 11- Part 3 Art for Hire
1. Describe examples of at least two styles of digital/computer generated artwork being produced for hire through the site (image manipulation, digital painting, 3D modeling, digital sculpting, etc.)
 - This website has different styles of digital/computer generated artwork being produced for hire. Two styles are logo design, 3D modeling and graphic design.

2. How much are art services being sold for, on average, based upon your observations?
- Based upon my observations the art services are being sold, on average, about $20 an hour.

3. Are artists generally listing their educational background when advertising a service? Why would they, or wouldn't they list such information?
- Yes, artists are generally listing their educational background when advertising. They most likely list that information to convince the buyers that they are credible and experienced, so they would choose to buy their work instead of their competitors on the site/other sites.

- This website has a variety of styles of digital/computer generated artwork being produced for hire. Two styles are web design and computer graphics.

2. How much are art services being sold for, on average, based upon your observations?
- On average, these art services are being sold for $30 an hour.

3. Are artists generally listing their educational background when advertising a service? Why would they, or wouldn't they list such information?
- No, these artists are not advertising their educational background. They may not advertise themselves because they don’t want their art to be based on how little they know.

- This website produces a number of styles of digital/computer generated artwork. Two of them are web design and logo design.

- Art services are being sold, on average, for $25 an hour.

3. Are artists generally listing their educational background when advertising a service? Why would they, or wouldn't they list such information?
- These artists are listing their educational background because it persuades the customers to buy their work instead of others who are selling the same items but have less experience.



Kamille: I am a Graphic Designing student, currently making new modern projects using Adobe Photoshop. I have experienced cloning images, swapping images, combining images, and much more.

How to Clone Yourself Within Digital Photographs

1. Take a Picture in photobooth and drag to desktop
2. Open up photo shop and drag picture into it (this will be your picture you’re cloning)
4. Press letter s (icon will be highlighted)

5.Move mouse over persons face



6. Click person face while holding the option key

7. Move to new location and paint (hold down left clicker on the mouse while you’re painting)

-Shutterstock sells Stock Photos, Vectors, Videos, and Music Tracks
2.) How do YOU as a designer sell products through the company website (Basically: What is the sign-up process for artists wanting to sell?)
-Contributing photographers must apply before they are eligible to upload their images. The applicants must submit 10 pictures that are screened for quality and suitability. At least seven pictures must be approved for the contributor account to become active.

3.) How do artists receive payment from product sales?
-Each time an image is downloaded, the photographer receives a flat rate of 25c (with a tiered set of raises as the contributor reaches lifetime earnings of $500, $3,000, and $10,000, respectively)

Zazzle: 
1.) What does the company sell? 
- merchandise (clothing, posters, etc.), or buy merchandise created by other users, as well as use images from participating companies. 

2.) How do YOU as a designer sell products through the company website (Basically: What is the sign-up process for artists wanting to sell?)
- You create an online store, create your own royalty rate on every product, and then sell it.

3.) How do artists receive payment from product sales?
- Users are allowed set the profit they wish to make on each item (Royalty), and they get all the money.

CafePress:
1.) What does the company sell? 
- CafePress.com sells T-shirts, bags, mugs, wall clocks, calendars, and myriad other products.

2.) How do YOU as a designer sell products through the company website (Basically: What is the sign-up process for artists wanting to sell?)
-You create a design, upload the design, and CafePress sells it for you.
3.) How do artists receive payment from product sales?
-You pick the money making option that best fits you.
